Service Partner | Legal Service Providers

DWF

DWF is a leading global provider of integrated legal and business services, operating across eight key sectors in over 35 global locations with over 5,000 people. Our purpose is to deliver positive outcomes with our colleagues, clients and communities.

The legal market has changed profoundly in the last decade and the speed of change continues to increase. There is a clear and growing desire for legal services to be delivered in an easier and more efficient way. So we’ve listened to our clients and designed a range of services to meet these needs.

Our vision is to deliver integrated services on a global scale through our three offerings; Legal Services, Legal Operations and Business Services. Our ability to seamlessly combine any number of these services to deliver bespoke solutions for our clients is our key differentiator. This Integrated Legal Management approach delivers greater operational efficiency, price certainty and transparency for our clients. Without compromising on quality or service.

Our three offerings

Legal Services Premium legal advice and excellent client service. Our teams bring commercial intelligence and industry sector relevant experience.

Legal Operations Outsourced and process led legal services which standardise, systematise, scale and optimise legal workflows.

Business Services Products and business services that enhance our legal offerings.

Our global footprint supports clients with operations across multiple jurisdictions. We coordinate across geographies to ensure consistency of approach, quality of outcome and clarity of oversight — wherever the risk arises.

Corporate Risk

An integrated approach to corporate insurance claims.

Corporate claims sit at the intersection of risk, performance, reputation and cost. Managing them well requires more than good legal advice or efficient handling — it requires a joined-up approach that holds firm across every claim, every line of business and every stakeholder.

Corporate Risk is DWF’s response to that challenge. It brings together end-to-end claims management, Tier 1 insurance legal expertise and proprietary data technology — delivered by one team, through one relationship, with clear accountability from first notification through to resolution.

For organisations where volume, complexity or exposure demand a higher standard, Corporate Risk provides exactly that.

One solution. One team. Clear accountability.

Corporate Risk is a single-source solution supporting the full lifecycle of liability defence claims. We represent some of the world’s biggest brands — large multinationals and UK-based commercial businesses operating within demanding claims environments — and we do so through a model built on four core strengths:

  • Genuine end-to-end claims management and TPA capability — including loss fund management, FNOL and full bordereau handling
  • Tier 1 insurance legal and litigation expertise, embedded throughout the claim lifecycle
  • Proprietary technology and data insight that supports confident decision-making
  • Strong, relationship-led account management with clear ownership and continuity

Together, these elements ensure consistency of strategy, service and outcome across the portfolio — providing a clear line of sight from notification to resolution.

How we work

Corporate Risk is a modular offering. Clients can access the full end-to-end solution or select specific elements — litigation-only support, discrete services, or anything in between — allowing the model to scale in line with what is needed.

What remains constant is the team. Clients work with people who take real ownership, operate in genuine partnership, and are visible and accountable in the day-to-day — not just at review meetings. We invest in relationships that work, because that is where consistency is built and trust is earned.

For organisations with operations across borders, our global footprint ensures the same standard of service follows the risk — coordinated centrally, delivered locally.

Who is Corporate Risk for?

Corporate Risk is designed for organisations where volume, value or visibility demand a structured, consistent approach. The model supports:

•      Large and complex corporate organisations, including high-volume, multi-line and long-tail claims portfolios

•      Insurer-backed and self-insured programmes, including captives, loss funds and significant retentions

•      Litigation and complex-only portfolios, where claims management is handled by another provider

•      Broker-led insurance programmes, where consistency, governance and clarity support effective placement and renewal

•      Multi-jurisdictional operations requiring coordination across teams, geographies and regulatory frameworks

End-to-end claims management

Our claims management service covers the full lifecycle of liability defence claims and spans:

  • First Notification of Loss (FNOL) and bordereau management
  • Casualty, motor claims and credit hire
  • Employers’ liability and public liability
  • Disease and catastrophic injury / large loss
  • Fraud
  • Property liability and recoveries
  • Crisis response
  • Motor prosecutions and criminal motor defence
  • Health & safety and regulatory investigations
  • Advocacy — DWF Chambers
  • Costs management and recovery
  • Data protection and cyber-related claims
  • Discrimination and Equality Act claims

Strategic, data-driven and trusted

We apply a consistent, disciplined approach to claims management — focused on early decision-making, effective reserving and timely progression. Claims are managed strategically rather than reactively, with clear alignment to commercial objectives and close collaboration with key stakeholders.

We also recognise that brand and reputation are often as critical as financial outcomes. These considerations sit at the heart of how we approach every claim, not just the high-profile ones.

Our approach is underpinned by transparent reporting, strong governance and data-led insight — enabling confident oversight at both claim and portfolio level.

Powered by technology: Evoclaim

At the heart of Corporate Risk sits Evoclaim, DWF’s proprietary claims management platform. Built and maintained in-house, it provides real-time visibility and transparent governance across claims portfolios — and because we own it, we adapt it quickly to both legal developments and client-specific requirements.

  • Real-time portfolio visibility
  • Bespoke dashboards and reporting
  • Full audit trails and transparency
  • Claim-specific workflows to drive efficiency
  • Integration with key industry platforms, including the OIC portal

From claims data to risk intelligence

All claims data is centrally housed within Evoclaim, giving clients real-time access to meaningful, actionable insight at claim and portfolio level. This includes claim-level financial and lifecycle detail, portfolio trends by business division, location and cause, predictive analysis and benchmarking.

Open, transparent reporting enables clients to move beyond claims management into genuine risk intelligence — identifying root causes and emerging trends that support proactive risk reduction. The result is a claims operation that informs organisational decision-making, not just one that processes cases.

Financial control and loss fund management

Loss fund management is an integral part of the Corporate Risk model. As an SRA-regulated business, we manage a number of loss funds in full compliance with solicitor accounts rules — ensuring timely interim and final settlement payments and removing unnecessary friction from the process.

We also manage loss funds across multiple currencies as part of our global services offering, with full reconciliation reporting provided as required.

Litigation strategy and dispute resolution

DWF offers market-leading insurance litigation capability, integrated seamlessly with claims handling to ensure a consistent approach across the full dispute lifecycle.

Our litigation teams bring deep technical expertise across all major classes of insurance, with Tier 1 legal rankings in the major directories. This integrated model reduces unnecessary escalation, identifies liability and causation issues early, and applies clear cost-benefit analysis at key decision points.

For serious or high-exposure incidents, it means senior and specialist legal expertise can be engaged at the earliest stage — providing confidence and control when scrutiny and risk are at their highest.

What Corporate Risk delivers

Corporate Risk is designed to deliver more than effective claims handling. Our integrated model drives consistent outcomes across claims performance, financial control and organisational confidence.

•      Earlier, better-informed decisions — driven by thorough triage, embedded legal insight and real-time data

•      Greater confidence in reserving and cost control — supported by transparent governance and consistent strategy

•      Reduced friction across the claim lifecycle — through a single, accountable team aligned across claims handling and litigation

•      Portfolio-level visibility and assurance — enabling informed oversight, challenge and control

•      Protection of reputation and relationships — by managing claims with consistency and commercial judgment

The result is a claims operation that supports business objectives while delivering confidence across corporate, broker and insurer stakeholders.

Working with brokers and insurers

Corporate Risk operates confidently within the insurance market, working collaboratively with brokers and insurers to support effective claims strategies and strong programme outcomes.

Our presence on the major insurer legal panels reflects market confidence in our capability and ensures seamless working relationships — whether across an existing portfolio or in the event of a change of provider.

•      Reinforces confidence in governance, reserving and decision-making

•      Supports consistent strategy and data across handlers, lawyers and stakeholders

•      Enhances programme credibility and stability, supporting renewal discussions and broader market engagement

Account management, team and client onboarding

Corporate Risk is built around strong, relationship-led account management — not as a layer on top of delivery, but embedded within it. Each client is supported by a consistent, dedicated team led by a named account manager, with clear responsibility for service delivery, governance, performance and strategic alignment.

Teams are designed with the client, drawing on the right mix of claims, legal and technology expertise to reflect their organisational structure, risk profile and objectives. This creates continuity and depth of knowledge from day one — and a way of working that genuinely fits.

Every Corporate Risk relationship begins with a structured onboarding programme. We embed our team into established ways of working from the outset, aligning governance, escalation routes, reporting and key performance measures to create clarity and confidence early.

Beyond core service delivery, clients benefit from a broader programme of value-added support: tailored training, portfolio and sector insight, thematic reviews, roundtable events and shared learning — all designed to support continuous improvement and proactive risk reduction.

Strength beyond claims

Corporate Risk benefits from being part of DWF’s wider full-service law firm, with access to significant depth and breadth of expertise across commercial and regulatory services. Where risk escalates or a situation demands specialist input — regulatory investigation, commercial dispute, cross-border complexity — that expertise is available without the need to go elsewhere.

Corporate Risk

Corporate Risk brings together genuine TPA capability, Tier 1 legal expertise, proprietary technology and data insight — delivered through strong account management and a genuine partnership approach, by a global legal business.

The result is a joined-up, accountable model that protects outcomes and reputation, supports strong decision-making across the claim lifecycle, and gives organisations the confidence they need when it matters most.
